This is a fabulous pair of sterling silver serving spoons manufactured by Gorham circa 1874. They are in the rare and hard to find Raphael pattern.
The pattern is from the Aesthetic Period of design, one of my favorites. the matched pair of spoons can be used for any desired foods, such as potatoes, vegetable, etc.
The spoons are 8 1/2" in length. They do have a monogram that looks like "D". They have a combined weight of 4.485 troy ounces. The bowls of the spoons have some very minor dents and pitting, but not bad for 135+ year old pieces.
