This attractive stick pin dates to the Victorian era. It contains a red stone, which is most likely a simulated ruby. The stem is hallmarked W & R and it has been acid tested at 10 karat.
The pin is 3 1/4" in length. The top is an open diamond shape, containing two etched leaves with the round red stone at its center. It weighs 1.3 grams and is in fine antique condition.
The piece came in a paper box with a beige silk lining and snap closure. The outside of the box is papered in a pattern resembling wood. The inside cover has writing, probably in German. See my pictures. The box is in fair condition.
