This pretty vase comes from late 19th Century Japan. It is known as Kutani ware and it is signed.

The vase has two handles and a bulbous shape. It sits on three feet. It has lovely hand paintings, showing scenes of a Japanese landscape, including pavilions. The colors are typical of this type of ware, with the trim colors being the red and gold. The scenes are more muted colors of gray and pink.

The piece stands about 5" high. It has a bottom diameter of 2 3/4". It is in fine antique condition.
