I had the good fortune to acquire several necklaces from an estate of a world traveler. This gorgeous necklace comes from that estate. It is definitely Asian, although I am not sure which country, possibly Tibet.
The necklace is 30" long and has a variety of stone beads, some look like hematite, others amber and small light blue ones, possibly turquoise. these beads range in size from 4mm to 8mm.
Attached to the beads is a pendant, made of a very lovely agate specimen, which is set in tested sterling silver. The pendant is 4" long and quite heavy. It cannot be taken off, as the bale will not slip through the larger beads.
There is also a small metal Hindu goddess plaque on the top of the pendant, and a silver hook style closure. All in all a very attractive and exotic piece. It is in fine vintage condition.
