This is a stunning bracelet manufactured in the late Victorian era, circa 1890. It is made of deep rich bohemian garnets and set in "garnet gold" which was 800 silver with a gold wash. The bracelet is a hinged bangle style with a push in clasp and safety chain.
The central portion of the bracelet is composed of round and pear shaped garnets, creating a lovely floral design. The entire band is embedded with round cut garnets. The garnets are such a deep rich red that they remind me of a fine burgundy wine.
There are no markings on the bracelet and I have not polished it as I don't want to disturb the stones. It has an inner circumference of about 2 1/2" and should accommodate up to a 7 3/4" wrist. It is in fine vintage condition.
