Here is a nice piece of pottery from the Paul Storie Pottery of Marshall, Texas. the pottery was established in the 1980's and the handpainted wares have become quite collectible. It is a covered crock or cooking pot with a cream colored body which features a hand-painted scene of a barn with trees in cobalt blue. The artwork is signed "RR '96". This substantial piece is 4 1/4" tall and 9 1/4" across the top rim. The bottom bears a circular mark reading "Paul Storie Pottery, Marshall, TX" There is some crazing to the surface, inside and out. Inside there is some darkening associated with the crazing. There are no chips, cracks, flakes or other damage I can detect.
What a wonderful Cookie Jar this would be on the table in your Country Kitchen!
