Here is a nice example of Henriot Quimper Ivoire Corbeille in an unusual shape. The marks suggest 1920's / 1930's. The decoration is well done, including the Bretonne in her traditional dress and Coiffe. This is a clever Milk/Cream server. Pour freshly "squeezed" milk with the cream into the server. The side with the M on it has the hole farther down so that the milk will flow from it, while the side with the C on it has the higher sitting spout so that the cream, which floats on top of the milk, will flow out of it. It has two finger loops handles and two spouts.
This piece measures 7.5" across the handles, 7 1/8" across the spouts, 2.5" across the base. There are a few small glaze dings aw well as a factory flow on one handle, but overall it is in good condition.
An unusual addition to, or start on, your Quimper collection! Striking on your table!
Enjoy each day!
