Here is a nice size copper lustreware (lusterware) pitcher / creamer produced in the Staffordshire area of England. These wares were produced throughout most of the 19th century. This piece features hand painted copper lustre decoration on the blue band around the neck. These soft clay items were mass produced for everyday use and are most often found with signs of use and small imperfections.
The pitcher measures 4 1/4" tall, 5" across the rim and handle, and just over 2 1/4" across the base.
It is in very good condition with four small rubbed spots on the top rim (see images).
A very nice example to start or add to a lustreware collection!
Enjoy each day!
