Here are eight luncheon plates from Westmoreland Glass Company. These are in the Beaded Edge pattern with a different fruit decoration on each piece, one each of Pear, Apple, Cherries, Strawberries, Plums, Blackberries, Peaches, and Grapes painted on an opaque white glass. This line of beaded edge milk glass with decorations first appeared in the 1953 catalog. These and other pieces from this line are pictured in "Westmoreland Glass: The Popular Years, 1940-1985" by Kovar. These are rated as Difficult to find. Each plate bears the Westmoreland "W over G" mark on the back.
Each plate measures just under 8 1/2" across the rim, and is just over 5" across the base. There are no chips, cracks, flakes or other damage. There is a small factory flaw on the pear plate, like a tiny wrinkle. The decoration on all plates is intact and in excellent condition.
These are part of a complete service for eight, including serving pieces. There are other pieces in the shop as well. If you would like the whole set I can make a price adjustment, and, of course, I will always combine orders for shipping savings for you.
A great find for filling in your set or starting a new collection! You may specify which particular pieces you desire.
Enjoy each day!
