Striking Mexican sterling (tested) silver and green cabochon stone bracelet is pictured with amethyst cabochons on Page 171 of Nancy Schiffer's, Silver Jewelry Designs and identified as follows: "Fred Davis attribution: Mexico. Link bracelet with cabochon amethyst c.1925...Courtesy of Lolly Commandy." The only difference between this bracelet and the one pictured in the book are the cabochon stones and the safety chain, which may have been added later or at the request of the original owner.

The ingeniously designed link bracelet consists of seven, curved rectangular sections alternating with round disks with bezel set green stone cabochons. It measures approximately 7-1/2 x 1-1/2" and has a hidden closure consisting of a wide, curved tongue that fits into a slot on the bracelet. The bracelet is in Excellent Condition and weighs 64.7 grams. It is signed, "MEXICO SILVER" in the manner of Davis' work.

Important, ahead-of-its-time design by a Mexican silver master.
