Sergey bronze, "Modern Lolita" is #23 of 299 by the artist who created sculptures from the sketches, drawings and graphics of Erte and Yamagata since 1983 having met the two artists through Joel Mentsner & Co. after emigrating to the United States in 1977. Sergey was educated in Moscow at Strogranoff's Academy of Art and the Moscow school of Theatrical Art. He began his career as a young artist in theaters and television stations specializing in sculpture for the performing arts.
This original bronze sculpture entitled, "Modern Lolita" is a gracefully sculpted figure of a woman with red high heels, tee shirt and bikini bottoms is a contemporary take on the work of Erte that idealizes and elongates the feminine form remaining true to the art of the famed artist. The sculpture measures approximately 13" high, 3" wide and has a depth of 3" and is mounted on a custom granite base. It weighs 22 pounds. It is in Very Good/Excellent Condition with several dings to the back of the piece shown in the photos. Please note the scrapes on both arms and two on the back in our photos.
