This wonderful c1890's antique print is by the Victorian artist Victor Dangon. This lovely study has soft pink and buttercream yellow cabbage roses. It is entitled "Catherine Mermot and Marechal Niel Roses", popular French varieties at the time. The print is a chromolithograph with several color layers that align in perfect register and is in near fine condition. In Victorian times, the pink rose symbolized that the bearer was "An Ambassador of Love". Please excuse any glass glare on the left side, the print's color hues are even throughout the print and are unfaded and vibrant. The print is housed in a vintage gold frame that compliments the rose hues perfectly. (Please disregard that round spot lower left, it's just a reflection in the glass.) Overall size is 11 x 15 inches, ready to hang.
