Paul de Longpre Antique Roses Print.
This sweet study of an American Beauty roses paired with a blushing pink bridal rose is by the Victorian watercolorist, Paul de Longpre (b.1855, d. 1911). The artwork is just beautiful. The print is a chromolithograph that dates between 1895 and 1905 and was most likely made by the Gray Lithographic Company of New York. All the color layers align in perfect register.
The print is unfaded and is housed in its original think black painted frame. The backing is still intact with the old nails. Both print and frame are in VG condition, the frame having a little customary wear for a piece of its age. Overall size is aprox 10.75 x 12.5 inches, ready to hang.
