This is a large early cloth baby doll named Tippy Toe made by the Madame Alexander Doll Co. She is make from a knit stockinette? type material. Her eyes are painted on. You can see she has been loved. Her brown yarn pigtails have been cut short. There is a little pick or holes in the nose area. The little one piece romper in pink and white cotton stripes is faded. The tag is in the back that says Tippy Toe Madame Alexander N.Y. U.S.A. The little skirt ties in the back. There is one patch stitching in the back on the skirt. I have not tried to untie the bonnet ribbon as it looks like one side was short so it was tied close. She is cotton stuffed. There is wear and stains to the doll but she is still an early example of what Madame Alexander dolls were like. I believe she was made in the 1940's. She is about 28" tall. If you love these early loved cloth dolls, this is one you don't see often. Please view all the pictures as they serve as part of my description. There are stains, fading and extra stitches so view repairs. If you have any questions, just email me. She is from a smoke free and pet free environment.
