Here is a black homemade folk art doll from the 1940's. She is cotton stuffed and has painted features. She is 20" tall. The black yarn hair has broken pieces as you can see in the back. She wears a rose colored dress, white apron and knee length underwear. There is a lot of hand stitching to the clothing. Her earrings are old curtain rings. She has some soil spots on her face. She has mitten type hands and there is one small hole on the doll's right hand just under the sleeve edge. She looks like someone loved her but still has enough charm to be enjoyed by a collector. I took lots and lots of pictures but it's hard to get good pictures of this doll. Please write with any questions. Doll is from a smoke and pet free environment. She's been in my collections for over 20 years.
