Written by Dr. Frank Overton in 1913, Sanitary Supervisor for the New York State Department of Health, this textbook of general subjects of hygiene and sanitation is adapted for pupils in the intermediate grades. Copyright 1913 by the American Book Company, it was written in Great Britain, and makes for very fascinating reading! Concerns such as organs and cells, hindrances to breathing (pollution in 1913, maybe?), vermin and many other topics that were applicable to the time.
This textbook is in used condition, with scribbles and writing on the inside covers with a few notations on some of the pages. The inner pages are in good condition with no tears. The binding is intact, however worn with a few stains.
All points considered this is a great book and would stimulate conversation sitting on the coffee table!
