Syracuse China holds a special place in my heart, offering jobs to so many, with the quality that only bone china offers. Being born and raised in Syracuse, it was an icon in the community! Founded in 1871, it was a sad day when they closed their doors.
What we have here are eight salad or dessert plates created by Syracuse China, from their 'Carefree' line, named Concord Rose. The design is linen blue roses on light green stems. The depth and detail is really stunning! The hallmark on the back of each plate has 'Carefree' in cursive, with the words TRUE CHINA underneath, and also the verbiage 'by SYRACUSE CONCORD ROSE made in U.S.A."
These 8 salad plates are in wonderful vintage condition, and no doubt were used only for special occasions, have very minimal wear, and as sharp and shiny as can be!
