Here is yet another sewing pattern that is certainly cute and unusual! The envelope is rough; torn with the front one piece and the back of the envelope many pieces. Nonetheless, this is one CUTE pattern for a poodle type or maybe square dance skirt with an iron on color transfer that look like fancy pockets! It does not require embroidery and this piece has not been used. As stated on the envelope "Pockets are make believe with handpainted effect." It has not been used and I can't guarantee it will work, but it should. In addition there is a pattern for a cummerbund type belt. The size is for 26 inch waist and 35 inch hips. With the cut and style, it could accommodate larger hips and wouldn't be hard to make it larger in the waist.
The envelope suggests that it is 'easy to make' and I looks like by the 1950s Simplicity finally knew the meaning of 'easy to sew.' There's only 4 pattern pieces and is for the skirt only.
