RARE 1826 1831 Life Of George Washington Volume 1 and 2 by Aaron Bancroft

Here is one fascinating and very old two volume biography of one of the founding fathers of the United States, George Washington. Pastor of a Congregational Church in Worcester, Aaron Bancroft authors these two volumes, with extensive facts and details surrounding this great president.

Concerning the two volumes, The Life of George Washington, Commander in Chief of the American Army, through the Revolutionary War ; and the First President of the United States - by Aaron Bancroft. Complete in two volumes. With frontispieces. Stereotyped by T. H. Carter & Co.. Published by T. Bedlington, Boston in 1826 with subsequent title pages dated 1831.

These two books are leather bound and aren't perfect, however they are over 185 years old! Both volumes front covers are separated from the binding. Volume 1 back cover is partially off and Volume II back cover is attached. Both volumes have badly stained covers and smell musty. Volume II has water stains on the first few pages. Volume 1 has holes in the first few pages, along with pages 31 - 36 have approximately 1/4" torn off the edges of the page.
Both volumes are stamped several times "George S. Whippy."

These books are highly collectible and really hard to find, in any condition.
