In 1879, Mary Baker Eddy founded the Church of Christ, Scientist, as a result of her being the discoverer and founder of Christian Science. Being offered is a book written by her entitled "A Complete Concordance to the Writings of Mary Baker Eddy", containing The Concordance to Science and health, with key to the Scriptures, together with an index to the marginal headings and a list of the Scriptural quotations contained in that book as finally revised by its author, Mary Baker Eddy. The title page states the following: "Authorized literature of The First Church of Christ, Scientist in Boston, Massachusetts, copyright 1903, 1908 by Mary Baker G. Eddy All rights reserved Copyright 1916, 1933 by the trustees under the will of Mary Baker G. Eddy. All rights reserved including that of translation into foreign languages including the Scandinavian. Printed in the United States of America." It has 1107 pages with gilt seal, edges, gilt title and author, along with the wording "Authorized Edition." It measures 5 1/4" by 7 1/8" and is 1 7/8" thick and has a black silk bookmark. . The inner pages of this book are in excellent condition, however there are issues of concern. The first few pages have some foxing and have slight musty odor. The leather cover binding is intact, however is very dry and worn thru in several places.
