This large and lovely French Louis Auguste Moreau Art Nouveau figurine (1895-1905), has a plaque calling her Muse Champetre (Muse of the Country or Rural area). The figurine is signed Louis Moreau who was the son of August Moreau. I rather like his style a bit better than his father who was more in the Victorian Period, where Louis`s figurines are more Art Nouveau. The opaline swirl teardrop shade is gorgeous and we put in an antique light bulb, but any clear bulb will work. She`s lovely and has a delicate harp in one hand and a flowing scarf in the other. She has a porcelain socket and has been re-wired with cloth covered cord. She would look fabulous in an entryway as she`s quite large and makes a statement! The lamp stands 29" tall, the lovely lady is 18" tall, the shade is 8 1/2" long and about 5" at it`s widest, and the wooden base is 7 1/4" across. Any overcharge of shipping to your area will be refunded. Thanks for looking!
