This beautiful pair of Art Nouveau figural slag glass lamps (circa 1900), are actually a left and a right which is very rare to find. The ladies have lovely green gowns on gold polychromed bodies and they sit atop a large wooden base. They`re both marked Sur Le Glacier and Sur Le Mont (something to do with a mountain and glacier) and are maker marked Guillemin (Sculpt). I looked up French sculptor Guillemin and found he was of note, working during the Belle Époque period (or: The Beautiful Age of France), and showing his sculptures at the Salon in Paris from 1870-1899. They each have the round French import seal on the back. The lamps have in-line switches and have been re-wired with cloth covered cord. A most wonderful pair!! The lamps stand 28" tall, the shades are 8" across and the base is 6 3/4" across. Any overcharge of shipping to your area will be refunded. Thanks for looking!
