This circa 1950 copper Rebajes brooch is by mid century modernist Francisco Rebajes. It's a large show stopping piece at 3 x 3 1/3". Rebajes was one of the first craft jewelers in New York's Greenwich Village, and by the 1950's, he had his own store on 5th Avenue. The brooch is in the form of a bull's head. It is signed "REBAJES" on the backside. The condition is very fine with some minor lacquer loss. It's quite wonderful!
