Grace Storey Putnam designed this doll for Borgfeldt, allegedly after observing a three day old infant. This particular doll is in very nice condition. The bisque is lovely with no problems, the celluloid hands are intact and the cloth 'frog" body is problem free. The doll wears an old dress, diaper, booties with embroidery, a crocheted and be-ribboned bib, and an old bonnet. All items are old. She is about twelve inches long with a 12" head circumference. Her blue glass sleep eyes still sleep. This doll is a classic for collectors of antique dolls.
