This dress was made using antique materials and trim. It closes with hooks and eyes and is fully lined. It was made using a gorgeous pink silk satin (fragile and hard to work with) and antique lace removed from an antique ladies blouse. The bodice was made using part of the blouse also. The only newer part are the hooks and eyes and the edging around the sleeve cuffs. The dress is 8" long with 3" sleeves and 3" across the shoulders. The doll that is modeling it is 12" tall and is available from a friend who is an award winning doll artist. She is not included in this listing but I did not have a doll that it would fit so I asked if my friend"s could model. The dress was made from an old pattern. There is one very tiny pindot on one sleeve that is a flaw in the fabric--it is the size of a tinypin head and appears to be a bit of embedded metal(?????). Old fabrics really have some quirks. The doll's body is a French type. The sleeves of this pattern are rather narrow so if your doll has fat arms, it might not work.
