This heavy pair of whale oil lamps combine blown/cut fonts with pressed bases, joined by thick wafers.
The fonts are pear shaped, with cut rondels; bases are hexagonal. Burners are dual tube whale oil burners.
Probably New England, ca. 1850. A nice clean pair of lamps.
Size: Approximately 10.125 to top of collars.
Condition: Excellent. Minute roughness to some base points. No chips, cracks or repairs.
Note that I try to be conservative about condition descriptions, carefully noting any flaws. Of course, with antique items, there will be some signs of usage, and/or manufacturing defects. But overall, my customers have always been pleasantly surprised upon receiving their items, and of course, returns are no problem if I happen to miss anything.
