Pink Luster Bowl with Transfer of Mother and Child ca. 1825
This pink luster bowl has transfer panels with charming depictions of a mother and child with pets. Oval panels are set within a wide pink band with floral and leaf motifs in luster. Enamel highlights on the transfer. Nice and clean (even though the lighting may give my photos a yellow cast). English, circa 1825-35.
Size: Approximately 5.875" top diameter; 3.25" high.
Condition: Some flaking to blue enamel on one panel. Manufacturing defects including glazed over base rim chip, fired on clay fragments. No chips, cracks or repairs.
Note that I try to be conservative about condition descriptions, carefully noting any flaws. Of course, with antique items, there will be some signs of usage, and/or manufacturing defects. But overall, my customers have always been pleasantly surprised upon receiving their items, and of course, Returns are no problem if I happen to miss anything.
