These plates were made circa 1825-30 to commemorate the historical events of the Pilgrims' landing, American independence, and George Washington. The central motif depicts the landing at Plymouth; cartouches at top and bottom list historical events. Side cartouches with maritime scenes - a steam boat, and what appears to be a Naval Battle between Baxter? and Enterprise.

Note that I try to be conservative about condition descriptions, carefully noting any flaws. Of course, with antique items, there will be some signs of usage, and/or manufacturing defects. But overall, my customers have always been pleasantly surprised upon receiving their items, and of course, returns are no problem if I happen to miss anything.
