It's always nice to find a pair of lamps. These have blown fonts with drape and tassel engraving, attached by wafers to heavy pressed bases which have turret corner square platforms and concentric found steps supporting paneled stems.
Since this base was used in both New England and Pittsburgh (and possibly others), it is impossible to attribute these definitively. A nice clean pair of lamps circa 1840.
Size: Approximately 8.5" high, bases 3.5" square
Condition: Very good. One missing collar. Lamp with collar has minor chipping at bottoms of turrets. No chips, cracks or repairs.
Note that I try to be conservative about condition descriptions, carefully noting any flaws. Of course, with antique items, there will be some signs of usage, and/or manufacturing defects. But overall, my customers have always been pleasantly surprised upon receiving their items, and of course, returns are no problem if I happen to miss anything.
