This is the first time I have had a whale oil lamp in this pattern. It is one of the "Colonial" bull's eye pattern on the font, attached by a wafer to a hexagonal platform base. Most likely mid-western (Pittsburgh), circa 1850. A nice clean lamp in an unusual pattern.
Size: Approximately 8.5"high
Condition: Excellent. Some roughness on base edges/corners. No chips, cracks or repairs.
Note that I try to be conservative about condition descriptions, carefully noting any flaws. Of course, with antique items, there will be some signs of usage, and/or manufacturing defects. But overall, my customers have always been pleasantly surprised upon receiving their items, and of course, returns are no problem if I happen to miss anything.
