This covered sugar bowl is heavy (over 2 pounds) flint glass in the "New England Pineapple" pattern.
Believed to have been made at both the New England Glass Company and Sandwich, this has always been one of the most popular patterns in flint glass.
Size: Approximately 7 1/2" high (with lid), 4 1/2" diameter.
Condition: Base excellent, lid has chipping around one half of the flange, roughness spots on finial.
Note that I try to be conservative about condition descriptions, carefully noting any flaws. Of course, with antique items, there will be some signs of usage, and/or manufacturing defects. But overall, my customers have always been pleasantly surprised upon receiving their items, and of course, returns are no problem if I happen to miss anything.
