This oil lamp is composed of two glass components joined by a brass connector. The bottom section is a gray (clambroth) opal (translucent) glass; the font is a slightly lavender color. Brass color.
No maker's mark. Either English or American, late nineteenth century.
Size: Approximately 10" high, bottom diameter 4.75"
Condition: Excellent. Some pitting in glass seems to be from manufacturing. No chips, cracks or repairs.
Note that I try to be conservative about condition descriptions, carefully noting any flaws. Of course, with antique items, there will be some signs of usage, and/or manufacturing defects. But overall, my customers have always been pleasantly surprised upon receiving their items, and of course, returns are no problem if I happen to miss anything.
