This teapot has distinctive handle and spout profiles. The decoration features purple and magenta leaves or feathers with much gilding.
Spout has been restored. Lid is perfect fit, but does not have steam hole, so possibly the sugar lid.
Unmarked. An example of this form is shown in Miller and Berthoud's "Anthology of British Teapots"
English, ca. 1825-30
Size: Approximately 11" long, 6" wide, 7" high.
Condition: Old spout restoration. No other chips, cracks or repairs.
Note that I try to be conservative about condition descriptions, carefully noting any flaws. Of course, with antique items, there will be some signs of usage, and/or manufacturing defects. But overall, my customers have always been pleasantly surprised upon receiving their items, and of course, returns are no problem if I happen to miss anything.
