This amberina tumbler in an "expanded thumbprint" pattern has a coloring that ranges from light amber at the bottom to fuchsia at the top. The bottoms are polished pontil, and the glass has a beautiful bell tone.
I have four of these, almost identical.
Unmarked. Probably New England, ca. 1890
Size: Approximately 3 ¾" high, 2 ½" diameter.
Condition: Excellent. No chips, cracks or repairs
Note that I try to be conservative about condition descriptions, carefully noting any flaws. Of course, with antique items, there will be some signs of usage, and/or manufacturing defects. But overall, my customers have always been pleasantly surprised upon receiving their items, and of course, returns are no problem if I happen to miss anything.
