This partial set has black transfers of fanciful Chinese characters involved in various activities.
The set consists of a covered tea or coffee pot, covered sugar, two saucers and four cups.
No maker's marks.
The shapes are more typical of European, rather than English; I would suspect this set is French, ca. 1845.
Size: Teapot approximately 4" high, sugar 3 ¼" high, saucers 3" diameter.
Condition: Teapot and sugar excellent. Saucers and one cup with significant ships, lines in remaining cups.
Note that I try to be conservative about condition descriptions, carefully noting any flaws. Of course, with antique items, there will be some signs of usage, and/or manufacturing defects. But overall, my customers have always been pleasantly surprised upon receiving their items, and of course, returns are no problem if I happen to miss anything.
