This pair of "Pressed Tulip" vases with octagonal bases was made by the Sandwich Glass company ca. 1850-60. Examples are shown in "The Glass Industry in Sandwich, Vol. 3". Each vase has a scalloped top inverted bell-form body attached to an octagonal base.
Size: Approximately 10.125" high.
Condition: Excellent. Slight mold roughness on one base. No chips, cracks or repairs.
Note that I try to be conservative about condition descriptions, carefully noting any flaws. Of course, with antique items, there will be some signs of usage, and/or manufacturing defects. But overall, my customers have always been pleasantly surprised upon receiving their items, and of course, returns are no problem if I happen to miss anything.
