This Gorham "Maryland" Sterling soup ladle has a gold wash bowl. This pattern was introduced in 1886, and is typical of the designs of that era, but without being too fussy and ornate, so it would also work well in mixed silver settings.
Marked with Gorham marks, Pat. 1886, and "Sterling". No monogram. Would make a lovely gift, or as an addition to your own dining room.
Size: Approximately 12.5" long. Weight: Approximately 6.1 troy ounces
Estate silver will be in used condition, but I will take care to note any defects or condition problems arising from heavy use or abuse.
Note that I try to be conservative about condition descriptions, carefully noting any flaws. Of course, with antique items, there will be some signs of usage, and/or manufacturing defects. But overall, my customers have always been pleasantly surprised upon receiving their items, and of course, returns are no problem if I happen to miss anything.
