This oval tray was probably intended to be used underneath a teapot. It has a pink luster band at the edge, and the center is painted with a scene of a church.
Body is an earthenware.
No maker's marks. Probably Staffordshire, ca. 1840
Size: Approximately 7 ½" long, 5 7/8" wide.
Condition: Some wear to luster and slight allover toning. No chips, cracks or repairs.
Free U.S. shipping.
Note that I try to be conservative about condition descriptions, carefully noting any flaws. Of course, with antique items, there will be some signs of usage, and/or manufacturing defects. But overall, my customers have always been pleasantly surprised upon receiving their items, and of course, returns are no problem if I happen to miss anything.
