This pearlware cup (or tea bowl) and saucer has delightful painting of a bright red floral arrangement in a yell and blue striped container. The border is a dotted line and scallop on a pink band.
It has a folk-art quality that is quite charming.
No maker's mark, but probably English, ca. 1820
Size: Saucer approximately 5.5" diameter; cup approximately 3.5" top diameter, 2.25 high.
Condition: Excellent with only minimal scratching/flaking to enamel. No chips, cracks or repairs.
Note that I try to be conservative about condition descriptions, carefully noting any flaws. Of course, with antique items, there will be some signs of usage, and/or manufacturing defects. But overall, my customers have always been pleasantly surprised upon receiving their items, and of course, returns are no problem if I happen to miss anything.
