This Limoges fish platter has naturalistic marine life including shells and a sea urchin, with some netting and seaweed. Around the border is delicate gilt tracery. The blank has a low relief of scalloped scrolls, and was probably painted in America by an amateur china painter.
Marked with H & Co, France (1890's mark for Haviland and Co.).
Note: International shipping is not available for this item.
Size: Approximately 21.25" long, 8.75" wide.
Condition: Pinhead nick under outer edge, some wear to gilding. No other chips, cracks or repairs.
Note that I try to be conservative about condition descriptions, carefully noting any flaws. Of course, with antique items, there will be some signs of usage, and/or manufacturing defects. But overall, my customers have always been pleasantly surprised upon receiving their items, and of course, I would expect a return if I happen to miss anything.
