This Minton can with a brilliant "Japan" pattern was made circa 1810. Colors are vivid cobalt, green and rust with lovely gilding. The scene shows a building in an exotic landscape.
Marked with painted "faux Sevres" mark used during this period, with pattern number 518. A lovely gem of a piece.
Size: Approximately 2 1/4" high, 2 1/2" diameter.
Condition: Excellent. No chips, cracks or repairs.
Note that I try to be conservative about condition descriptions, carefully noting any flaws. Of course, with antique items, there will be some signs of usage, and/or manufacturing defects. But overall, my customers have always been pleasantly surprised upon receiving their items, and of course, returns are no problem if I happen to miss anything.
