This American Brilliant Period cut glass bowl was probably intended as a finger bowl, but it would be useful for other uses such as cranberries at Thanksgiving or and elegant presentation for goldfish crackers on your bar.
It has an unusual shape; the sides are compressed making it almost a square. The design is cut in primarily fans with a scalloped rim. Hobstar cut in bottom.
Heavy and brilliant. American, ca. 1900.
Size: Approximately 5" diameter, 2 1/2" high.
Condition: Good. As usual with these a few chips to teeth.
Note that I try to be conservative about condition descriptions, carefully noting any flaws. Of course, with antique items, there will be some signs of usage, and/or manufacturing defects. But overall, my customers have always been pleasantly surprised upon receiving their items, and of course, returns are no problem if I happen to miss anything.
