This tea bowl (cup) and saucer is painted in the "Queen's" pattern, and is a member of the "red line bordered group" of porcelains. It is believed these Worcester pieces were decorated by an independent decorator, and they share the use of a red line border in place of gilding.
This cup and saucer have a paneled shape, and both pieces are marked with the blue "pseudo Chinese" square mark.
English, ca. 1775
Size: Saucer approximately 4.625" diameter; cup 3" diameter, 1.625" high.
Condition: Excellent. Some foot rim flaws on saucer (during manufacture) No chips, cracks or repairs.
Note that I try to be conservative about condition descriptions, carefully noting any flaws. Of course, with antique items, there will be some signs of usage, and/or manufacturing defects. But overall, my customers have always been pleasantly surprised upon receiving their items, and of course, returns are no problem if I happen to miss anything.
