This pearlware tea bowl and saucer has wonderful free-hand cobalt blue painting. Both cup and saucer have scalloped rims. Nice and clean with almost no usage marks in glaze.
Unmarked save for a blue mark on cup - either a spot of glaze or possible tally mark. Staffordshire, ca. 1810
Size: Saucer approximately 5.625" diameter; cup 3.125" top diameter, 2.5" high
Condition: Excellent. A couple tiny chips to foot rim of saucer; no other chips, cracks or repairs.
Note that I try to be conservative about condition descriptions, carefully noting any flaws. Of course, with antique items, there will be some signs of usage, and/or manufacturing defects. But overall, my customers have always been pleasantly surprised upon receiving their items, and of course, returns are no problem if I happen to miss anything.
