This vase has classical figure in low relief around the body. Bands of repeating ornament are at neck and at bottom. The body is stoneware in a grey/blue tone. The handle design appears be Asian-inspired.
Bottom has printed "T.R. Boote Patent Mosaic" mark.
A nice example of the Victorian eclectic aesthetic.
English, ca. 1850
Size: Approximately 9 1/4" high.
Condition: Very good with only slight wear to gilding. No chips, cracks or repairs.
Note that I try to be conservative about condition descriptions, carefully noting any flaws. Of course, with antique items, there will be some signs of usage, and/or manufacturing defects. But overall, my customers have always been pleasantly surprised upon receiving their items, and of course, returns are no problem if I happen to miss anything.
