These nice large early mugs are of simple shape, with just bands of luster. Light "drab" colored earthenware bodies.
A pair, but one is damaged, so priced for one. Unmarked, but probably English, ca. 1820-35.
Size: Approximately 3.5" diameter, 3.25" high.
Condition: One cracked both sides. Other has faint spider in bottom and some wear spots to luster on high spots. Some manufacturing fissures inside handle bends. No other chips, cracks or repairs.
Note that I try to be conservative about condition descriptions, carefully noting any flaws. Of course, with antique items, there will be some signs of usage, and/or manufacturing defects. But overall, my customers have always been pleasantly surprised upon receiving their items, and of course, I would expect a return if I happen to miss anything.
