This round teapot has a pearlware body. It is decorated with a a blue/black transfer of a cottage scene with floral borders and a geometric transfer on the handle. The edges are trimmed in a copper/pink luster.
Some marks (probably decorator marks). No maker's marks; probably English ca. 1830.
Size: Approximately 4 ½" high, 8 ½" long overall.
Condition: Excellent. Small flake on spout. Some manufacturing accretions. No other chips, cracks or repairs.
Note that I try to be conservative about condition descriptions, carefully noting any flaws. Of course, with antique items, there will be some signs of usage, and/or manufacturing defects. But overall, my customers have always been pleasantly surprised upon receiving their items, and of course, returns are no problem if I happen to miss anything.
