White Ironstone Boote’s 1851 Pitcher (Ewer)
This large wash pitcher or ewer is in the "1851" shape by T. R. Boote. One of the classic white ironstone designs, the pitcher has a graceful shape, and a paneled design. Nice and clean (with imperfections noted below). Still, a nice example at a reasonable price.
Marked with the impressed Boote mark and registry mark for 1851.
Note: International shipping is not available for this item.
Size: Approximately 12" high.
Condition: Line around interior of bottom (appears to be a stress fracture during making, and not visible on exterior. Horizontal line in glaze approximately half way up exterior side; not stained or readily noticeable. No other chips, cracks or repairs.
Note that I try to be conservative about condition descriptions, carefully noting any flaws. Of course, with antique items, there will be some signs of usage, and/or manufacturing defects. But overall, my customers have always been pleasantly surprised upon receiving their items, and of course, returns are no problem if I happen to miss anything.
