This is just the thing if you don’t need another pair of spaniels on your mantel. This fellow is small, but finely modeled and painted. Overglaze painted earthenware, with typical rust and white spaniel markings; yellow collar and tag. Black details on eyes. Unmarked except for three strokes on bottom (probably a worker’s tally mark). English, circa 1850-70.
Size: Approximately 4” high.
Condition: Some wear to the high spots as you would expect. No chips, cracks or repairs. Note that I try to be conservative about condition descriptions, carefully noting any flaws. Of course, with antique items, there will be some signs of usage, and/or manufacturing defects. But overall, my customers have always been pleasantly surprised upon receiving their items, and of course, I would expect a return if I happen to miss anything.
