This oval creamware tray has a basketweave pattern, with orange and brownish/black enamel highlighting around border and in center, including a band of what looks like a naive version of a Greek key border.
Marked with impressed "TURNER". English, circa 1800. (This family firm was pretty much over by 1805.)
Size: Approximately 8.375" long, 6.75" wide.
Condition: One faint line through a border loop. No other chips, cracks or repairs.
Note that I try to be conservative about condition descriptions, carefully noting any flaws. Of course, with antique items, there will be some signs of usage, and/or manufacturing defects. But overall, my customers have always been pleasantly surprised upon receiving their items, and of course, returns are no problem if I happen to miss anything.
